Jackson Pollock- White Light

White Light is another painting indicative of Pollock’s style but with a much more diverse and vibrant pallet. This canvas is busier and completely covered in paint, but also offers the viewer a rush of movement. Paintings like this were championed by art diplomacy advocates for their American and anticommunist qualities. These kinds of paintings present an antithesis to socialist realism, the governmemt mandated style under Stalin. The Soviets loved to hate it.
